Drydesign Case Study - POS
Festool asked Drydesign to design a tablama (free standing point of sale unit) and supporting flyer to promote their PS420 jigsaw. The brief was open so we were invited to create any concept that we felt would reflect the quality of the tool, that would make the user feel like they were a master of their craft, or that the power and versatility of the tool would make their jobs easier.
Festool POS Creative Process
Stage 1: Concepts - Drydesign came up with a number of concepts presented as hand drawn and coloured sketches for client discussion.
Stage 2: Design development - Festool's HQ sent instructions that we were to use a new strapline “Follows only one line. Yours.” We adapted one of the concepts and created two others that were then visualised in greater detail showing how the POS unit would look in-store against a busy background.
Stage 3: Artwork and production - The final approved design development was progressed into an artwork specification, then finished artwork and eventually into the finished POS unit.
